Reset Parameters

These are the market parameters that govern the rules behind the evaluation of the reset. These parameters may change across cycles, but will remain constant inside of cycles.

Reset statistic low threshold. If the reset statistic drops below this threshold, the market will reset.

Reset statistic high threshold. If the reset statistic exceeds this threshold, the market will reset.

Minimum viable queue velocity. If the queue velocity drops below this threshold, the market will reset.

Reset statistic calculation window. The time window over which the reset statistic is calculated. For example, if the time window is set to one hour, only trades and offers executed within the last hour will contribute to calculating the reset statistic.

Reset Statistics

These are the current calculated statistics most relevant to the adjudication of the Reset. Monitoring these values closely is crucial to any effective strategy.

Current reset statistic. The current reset statistic of the market. The reset statistic is also called the stabilized queue growth factor (sQGF) of the offer queue.

Queue velocity. The current velocity of the offer queue, measured in trades per minute.

Cycle length. The total amount of elapsed time trading in the current cycle or since the last reset. This is reported as hours:minutes:seconds.

Last cycle peak price. The highest minimum price floor reached in the last cycle. This is the highest price of any offer sold in the last cycle.

Market Statistics

These are current calculated statistics relevant to a high-level overview of the Market. Monitoring these values may be helpful for creating effective strategies.

Peak queue price. The current highest price of any offer in the queue.

Queue length. The number of Straato currently listed for sale on the offer queue.

Total trades in cycle. The number of trades executed in the current cycle. Each trade constitutes the exchange of one Straato.

Total Straato in cycle. The number of Straato eligible for trading in the current cycle. Think of this like a “shares outstanding” in the Market. This number is determined by the number of traders in the cycle and the number of Straato owned by each active trader.

Personal Account Information

These values reflect the current state and balance of your own account. Do not forget to monitor your credit balance before executing trades.

Straato owned. The number of Straato that you currently own. This includes Straato that you have listed on the offer queue but have not yet sold.

Credit balance. The number of credits associated with your Straato account. Credits are used to purchase Straato; you can pay out credits to your linked payment account or purchase more credits. Credits are one-to-one with USD and exist only for making trading inside of the Market more seamless. For now, your total credit balance may not exceed $2000 at any given time. Any excess credits obtained from a sale of Straato will immediately be paid out back into your Paypal account. This limit is due to regulatory concerns.

Profit. All-time nominal and proportional profits from trading in the Straato Market. Profit reflects the current value of the Straato that you own with respect to the market price or minimum price floor.

Number of trades. The number of trades that you have made in the Straato Market, all time. This number includes both purchases and sales of Straato, but does not factor in the number of Straato involved in each trade. For example, if I sold 5 Straato 3 times, my total of “Number of trades” would be 3, not 15.

Queue Statistics

Max # Buy. The maximum number of Straato that can be bought from the offer queue in one order. This limit prevents individual traders from monopolizing liquidity.

Max # Sell. The maximum number of Straato that can be listed on the offer queue in one order. This limit prevents individual traders from clogging the queue.

Max Per Price. The maximum number of Straato that can be listed on the offer queue at the same price. This limit prevents price stagnation and ensures effective resets.

Min Price Jump. The minimum price gap between groups of Straato on the offer queue. All list prices must be a multiple of the minimum price jump. For example, if the minimum price jump is $0.05, Straato may be listed at $1.05, $1.10, but not at $1.02. This limit exists to prevent price stagnation and improve the trading experience.
